We've now gone International!
Its now www.sellbuynet.com for everyone in every country we've so far provided localities for (New Zealand, Australia, England, Scotland and Wales). Your browser should automatically go to the correct country setting but, in any event, you can easily switch between countries using the selection menu, top left of any page. For the moment, most of the adverts are New Zealand based but that means there's plenty of room for adverts by Aussies and Brits!
Houses and Apartments Popular
Its clear that Houses and Apartments both for sale and for rent are the most popular adverts so far. Note that, for these and all other property related adverts, you can have up to 12 photos (versus 6 for all others). That should be enough to show the main rooms and outdoor areas for most properties.
That also goes for agents who want to copy their adverts to SellBuyNet. Those who are already doing that are finding that they have increased the size of their web footprints at no extra cost!
Placement, Success and Other Fees
As we keep saying, there aren't any but we have to at least keep the site going so there is now a Donate button. Its for those of you who have made measurable gains from using SellBuyNet and can spare a small part of them. If you haven't yet sold something, made a good buy, are on a tight budget or are a non profit organisation, don't feel obliged in any way.
However, one thing we ask everyone to do is spread the good word!
Editing and Updating
As we also keep saying, there's another huge advantage to using SellBuyNet instead of those other sites that charge like wounded bulls and freeze your wording after the auction starts: you can, at any time after first placing your advert, return to it and edit it, both in terms of the words and the photos. You start that off just by clicking on your "Adverts" link at the top right or the foot of any page and then click on either the "Words" or "Images" button of the corresponding advert. You'll then be back into either the text editing or the photo uploading stages of the advert when you first placed it. That typically means you can alter your asking price, add some more detail you've since remembered or upload a photo or two. Still at no charge.
A Block Too Far
Firefox Adblock Plus seeks block adverts it decides you didn't want to see but it can also stop entire sites, including ours, from working properly. A bit like curing people of the flu by shooting them! The other major browsers like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Opera don't seem to have any trouble with SellBuyNet, so we recommend you use one of them instead.
